About Us

Welcome

My name is Susan Krznar and I started the Boutique and have been in business for about 5 years. I learned to sew on a treadle sewing machine when I was a young girl. I've sewn everything from teddy bears to drapes, bridalwear, suits, dresses, costumes for charity fashion galas and of course quilts. A few years ago I fell in love with art quilts and have enjoyed creating them ever since. I hope your enjoying browsing through the Boutique.  May the art of the needle be in your stitches!!                                                                                                                                                                                                                    109A.jpg

 Our Products

The Boutique specializes in high quality quilting and specialty fabrics and offers unique fibre art supplies, specialty threads and those hard-to-find notions, gadgets, embellishment and crafting products.  This site is a work in progress.  If you see a blank category it means I have stock in-store which will be loaded soon.  If you need something from a blank category, I encourage you to send an email to sales@stitchnbe.com.  I would be happy to add your items on a priority basis.  If you do not see what you want, please let me know and I'll do my best to find it!  Special orders and pre-orders are welcome.

Artists and Guilds

I am a proud sponsor of the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) and a member of the Canadian Quilters' Association.  Prior to starting the online store, I had a brick and mortar storefront and actively promoted fibre artists by hosting exhibits and "Meet the Artist" events and by selling fibre art works on consignment.  I frequently blog about traditional quilters, guilds and crafters by through Facebook and twitter.  If you are an artist or a guild and have an upcoming event, send an email to sales@stitchnbe.com so I can consider adding it to the BookTiki News.  I am also interested in hearing about the many special items you create. Send me a photo of  your work with a short blurb about it..  You never know, it just might appear on our Facebook Page, in the Fan Group or the BooTiki News!
